Promoting Organ and Tissue Donation

There are number of different ways in which you can promote organ and tissue donation within the local community. Below is a list of activities to keep in mind and practice to help 'spread the word' about donation.

  1. Present and discuss the topic of organ and tissue donation for your next speech, report or service-learning project.
  2. Post donation brochures in your local grocery store, library, gym or church.
  3. Distribute brochures and/or donor cards with your family, friends or colleagues at your next gathering or meeting. Discussing the topic of donation in a group often tends to increase awareness and reduce any uncertainty.
  4. Create a link to our web page on your website.
  5. Schedule a speaker on donation for your next university meeting.
  6. Submit an article to your company newsletter or community paper discussing the topic of donation.
  7. Contact the principal at your local elementary, middle or high school to promote donation and transplantation education.
  8. Contact your local service club or community organizations. Corporate partnerships are a great way to reach a wide range of people at one time.
  9. Make a contribution to a transplant organization to help with educational projects.
  10. Volunteer by Working in our office, distributing literature or helping out at special events. This is a great way to promote and reinforce the benefits of organ and tissue donation.
