RESIDENCY

Annie DrapeauAnnie Drapeau

Annie Drapeau was born and raised in the French Acadian town of Shediac, New Brunswick.  She trained in classical ballet in New Brunswick and Montreal as well as summer sessions in Winnipeg at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School.  Annie also trained in classical piano at the Vincent d’Indy Music School in Montreal.

Along the way, an interest for biology and sciences led her to pursue a career in medicine, receiving her MD from the University of Sherbrooke.  During her clerkship, she was inspired by her mentors thus deciding to pursue a residency in Neurosurgery.  This brings her to Winnipeg, not as a dancer, but as a Resident at the University of Manitoba.

While discovering the diverse and exciting world of Neurosurgery, Annie maintains an interest in dance and the arts.
