Get Better Together
Free 6-week program for living better with ongoing health concerns, supported by the Wellness Institute, Regional Health Authorities and Manitoba Health. This program is peer-led by people living with chronic health conditions. The sessions are held in various locations throughout the province providing support in eating well, starting an exercise program, problem solving to make better health decisions and goal setting.

Dial-a- Dietitian
The Dial-a-Dietitian service of Manitoba is here to answer questions and provide advice on food and nutrition to help individuals and families live well and stay healthy. Dial-a-Dietitian connects callers to a Registered Dietitian, a licensed health professional who can take the science of nutrition and put it into practical eating advice.

Manitoba Psychological Society
Maintains a directory of private practice psychologists, many of whom work with weight loss.  This list can be accessed on the webpage, under “Find a Psychologist”, and by selecting the category “Habit Control” (http://mps.ca/referraltmp.aspx).  There is a fee for psychological services, although extended health benefits often provide some coverage.
