Overview
The WRHA Pharmacy Practice Residency Program develops self-directed practitioners that proficiently integrate drug distribution, pharmaceutical care, and personal and professional practice management skills, enabling them to provide exemplary patient care.
- Drug distribution includes all aspects of drug product preparation, delivery and administration in modern high technology organized health care settings.
- Pharmaceutical care includes assessing, analyzing, evaluating, planning, monitoring and documenting pharmacotherapy.
- Personal and professional practice management skills include self-directed learning, self-evaluation, problem-solving, time management, verbal and written communication, ethical conduct, leadership, teamwork, and professionalism.
