Eligibility Requirements
Applicants for the WRHA Pharmacy Practice Residency Program must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Canadian citizen or landed immigrant legally entitled to work in Canada
- Has or would reasonably be expected to be in receipt of a Bachelor of Pharmacy, Masters of Clinical Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from a Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP)-recognized pharmacy education program at the time the residency commences
- Could reasonably be expected to meet the requirements to obtain a license to practice pharmacy in the province of Manitoba on or before January 1 of the residency’s regular academic year, which may include but is not limited to having successfully challenged the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada Qualifying Examination Parts I & II (PEBC-QEI & QEII)
- Has not been dismissed from a pharmacy practice residency program
- Has not been denied employment at a facility of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. Candidates are required to submit a Criminal Records Search Certificate including a Vulnerable Sector Consent before being accepted into the program.
- Has not been denied registration or licensure as a pharmacy student, pharmacy intern or pharmacist in any jurisdiction
Applications are disqualified if any information in the candidate’s submission is verified as misrepresented, false or plagiarized, or if application materials are received after the application deadline. Only original, signed applications received by courier or ground mail will be accepted. Electronic or facsimile applications are not accepted.
