Seven Oaks General Hospital Pharmacy Services
Pharmacists practice using a decentralized, integrated clinical-distributive practice model at this 290-bed community hospital. Clinical pharmacy services are provided to medicine (Mental Health, Renal Health, Oncology) and Critical Care patients. Pharmacists offer a wide range of pharmacokinetic drug monitoring, patient counseling, and drug information consultation.
Pharmacy technicians aid delivery of pharmaceutical care through support of the computerized (CE Centricity) unit-dose cart exchange (AutoMed) drug distribution system. Pharmacy technicians also support a centralized IV admixture service (limited number of admixture items), TPN and oncology admixture, investigational drug service, pharmacy purchasing, wardstock, and inventory control systems. Technician checker programs are in place.
Seven Oaks General Hospital Pharmacy Services offers a progressive, stimulating work/learning environment. There is exceptional cooperation among team members, both within and outside Pharmacy Services. The work environment promotes personal initiative and professional growth. The pharmacy is open every day, days and evenings.
