Mission Statement

  1. Patients with newly diagnosed MS or Clinically Isolated Syndromes will be evaluated, treated and educated within 5 weeks of referral.
  2. Patients previously diagnosed and discharged from the MS clinic who later require reassessment will be evaluated, treated and educated within 8 weeks of clinic notification.
  3. Patients suffering from an acute relapse will be evaluated within 5 days of clinic notification.
  4. Patients who identify non-urgent worsening symptoms will be contacted by telephone within 48 hrs and if necessary evaluated in the MS clinic within 10 days of clinic notification.

The Winnipeg MS Clinic is dedicated to providing excellence in medical care for persons living with MS, Clinically Isolated Syndromes, or other demyelinating diseases in Manitoba and North Western Ontario. The MS Clinic provides leadership in the management of MS through the application of state of the art knowledge about the disease, its management, and methods of care delivery. The clinic provides medical diagnosis, treatment and follow-up as well as patient education and support to ensure optimal effectiveness of the treatment recommendations. We are committed to continuously improving the quality of care through education, research and the application of new technology.
