Travel Requirements
All interns participating in the Maniotba Partnership Dietetic Education Program will complete a minimum of nine weeks of their training outside of Winnipeg. This will allow interns to obtain diverse experience in the provision of nutrition care across the health care continuum. Placements will provide clinical, community, food service, administrative and research experience, depending on the learning opportunities available. In more remote locations, this experience will be scheduled as a continuous period of time to reduce travel requirements. In some areas closer to Winnipeg, where interns have the option to commute, the experience may be scheduled in two to three time periods. Travel and accomodation costs will be the responsibility of the intern.
Access to a Vehicle
It is recommended that interns have access to a motor vehicle. Dietetic interns will be responsible for their own transportation to various training sites within and outside of Winnipeg.
