Manitoba Partnership Dietetic Education Program (MPP)
345 DeBaets Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba,
R2J 3V6
A Dietitians of Canada (DC) accredited internship program is accepting three (3) students who apply through the DC match process in February 2012 for a program start date in September 2012.
Selection Criteria for DC Match Students
Applicants must be gradutes of a Dietitians of Canada accredited undergraduate university degree program and have a minimum 3.0 degree (cumulative) GPA or B average. The College of Dietitians of Manitoba (CDM) must also approve the university program. Applicants who are currently university students must be expecting to complete their baccalaureate degree majoring in human nutritional sciences by April/May of this academic year.
Students applying for internship more than three years since graduation must provide evidence of academic upgrading. All dietetic interns within the province of Manitoba are registered with CDM, and therefore, academic upgrading must be assessed by the CDM prior to internship application. CDM requires four weeks for academic assessments.
We are seeking confident individuals with well-articulated career goals and leadership skills. It is a requirement to be fluent in the English language and eligible to work in Canada. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to learn in a self-directed environment are assets.
Applicants are encouraged to voluntarily self-declare as being of Aboriginal descent as the goal of WRHA Aboriginal Human Resources is to build a workforce that is representative of the region's Aboriginal population. Individuals of Aboriginal descent, as declared using the Aboriginal Self-Declaration Form, will be preferentially selected providing minimum selection requirements are met.
