This is your chance to study the most up-to-date and technologically advanced methods of treating critically ill patients in medical, surgical, intermediate, neonatal and pediatric intensive care units. Using the newest equipment available, this dynamic new program takes place in a highly supportive, buddied learning environment that allows for the successful integration of practice and education in this constantly evolving arena.
In 14-weeks, you'll learn concepts, theories and practices in a lab setting and apply in-depth assessment and the critical thinking skills which will enable you to provide high quality care to critically ill patients.
Specialized orientation follows, specific to the designated Winnipeg community or tertiary hospital ICU unit where you'll be employed (from 4 to 10 weeks, varying in length according to site). This enables you to make a smooth transition to the clinical arena.
