Critical Care Program

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Critical Care Pogram services in 10 critical care units at 6 Winnipeg hospitals. The program enjoys a close affiliation with the University of Manitoba’s teaching programs in Nursing, Medicine and a variety of other professional disciplines.

The Critical Care program serves the people of Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario and the Keewatin District of the North West Territories. Health Science Centre also has a unique role in the provision of health care to the aboriginal population of Manitoba and serves as the provincial trauma, neurosciences and burn centre.

Each unit consists of a team of nurses, doctors, pharmacists, respiratory therapist, dieticians, physiotherapists and support staff with critical care expertise providing 24-hour care for the patients in Adult Critical Care.
