Tidimogo (Tidi) Gaamangwe


Tidi obtained his PhD from Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo, where he investigated the immunology of blood-biomaterial interaction using a systems approach. He is a registered professional engineer in the Province of Manitoba. Tidi has previously worked in various positions for the Ministry of Health in Botswana before joining the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. He has held various responsibilities in external institutions, which include President of the Botswana Institution of Engineers, Chair of CMBES Membership Committee and Co-Chair of the Canadian Science Policy Conference Content Generation Committee. Currently he chairs the CMBES Publications Committee. He is a member of several professional associations, which include CMBES, IEEE and ACCE. He is a member of the University of Manitoba BME Graduate Program.

Education, research and research support; quality and risk management; centers of excellence; process innovation; optimization and prioritization modeling; patient safety; performance assurance; operations management research; application of systems approach in healthcare technology management. Other interest areas: science and technology policy; clinical/biomedical engineering education; cardiovascular devices; immunology of blood-biomaterial interactions; in vitro flow models.
