Lori's Links

My name is Lori Lamont and I’m Vice-President of Interprofessional Practice and Chief Nursing Officer for the Winnipeg Health Region. It’s my pleasure to welcome you to the nursing website.

Technology plays such an integral role in people’s lives today, and nurses are no exception. So much of the nursing profession involves information exchange . . . and we think you need to easily be able to link with important, relevant information that impacts you as a nurse in the Winnipeg Region.

It is important to us to have an online nursing hub, a one-stop shop where nurses can visit to access information on the latest things happening in the Region, in their profession, education opportunities, resources to support their health and wellbeing and tools to help them further their careers. We work at constantly updating the site with relevant information about health care, the nursing profession and always approach things from a lens of what information can support best nursing practice.

I hope you’ll bookmark the site and visit often. We’re always adding new information that can help you improve the quality of your work and life.

Good health care relies on the constant exchange of information. If you can see information that could be included on this site that you currently don’t see, tell us. I welcome your comments about what you like and what you feel could be enhanced or improved. Email me at wrha_nursing@wrha.mb.ca.
