WRHA/RRC Health Services Leadership and Management Certificate Program

The Winnipeg Regional Heath Authority (WRHA) offers an exciting continuing education opportunity in Health Services Management.

The Program

This academic, college certificate program provides current and future health sector managers with the opportunity to acquire a broad conceptual knowledge base regarding management practice.  It is offered in collaboration with the Continuing Education Division of Red River College (RRC).  Participants are selected and sponsored by their respective health-sector employers.

This program, which is comprised of ten courses, is intended to be completed over a period of approximately 3 years of evening and weekend study. Upon successful completion participants will earn a Red River College Health Services Leadership and Management Certificate.

The Applicant

Applicants should be newer first level or middle managers or non-managerial staff who are in positions one-step away from management. Eligible participants must be sponsored for participation by their current employer who must be a health organization within the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

The Next Opportunity

Applications are being accepted on an ongoing basis. Interested staff may obtain an application for the upcoming term or at any time during the year, complete it and submit it to their employer for sponsorship approval. All approved applications will be either assigned an open seat, if available, or placed on a regional wait list until such time as a seat becomes available. It is anticipate that additional seats will become available throughout the year as a result of graduations and attrition.
