Warning re: false employment offers

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority learned today that an unauthorized person or agency had been making false offers of employment via email to nurses and other health care workers in the Philippines and asking for about $90.00 Canadian (3,800.00 Philippine Peso) for a ‘British English Training Fee’. The WRHA wants the public to be aware that these offers are not legitimate.

The WRHA learned of the situation after receiving a number of queries from Winnipeg relatives of those who received one of these email offers. The Region has contacted the appropriate authorities and alerted them.

Anyone interested in employment opportunities within the WRHA should contact WRHA Human Resources at 926-7084 or go to the Region’s website at www.wrha.mb.ca
