Canadian Patient Safety Week

Healthcare workers across Canada work hard to make Canada's healthcare system among the very safest in the world. An initiative of the Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI), Canadian Patient Safety Week 2007 from October 8th to 13th will be recognized in hospitals and other healthcare settings across the country.

"Canadian Patient Safety Week allows us to recognize our achievements and the people who made them possible," says Phil Hassen, CEO of the Canadian Patient Safety Institute. "It's also a time to reflect and remember that patient safety is a priority for every healthcare worker, our patients and their families."

The Manitoba Institute for Patient Safety will be launching Canadian Patient Safety Week at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on October 5, 2007.  As well there will be many activities at the sites for patients, family members and medical staff.
