Neonatologist

The Neonatology Program is inviting applications for the position of academic neonatologist. A proven track record in research with prior funding support will be considered an asset, as would a strong affinity with education. Rank and salary commensurate with experience and qualifications, accompanied with a strong benefits package. Preference will be given to candidates who possess a special interest and training in Neonatal Neurology.

The Department of Pediatrics and Child Health, Max Rady College of Medince, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba and the Child Health Program, Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is comprised of more than 95 geographical full-time physicians representing all Pediatric Subspecialties, as well as with 6 full time PhD Scientists and many more primary affiliated Faculty Members. The Neonatology Program is highly regarded for excellence in patient care, education and research.  Research and continuing education are an integral part of the program, that has a strong reputation for inter-disciplinary collaboration and patient centered care.

The University of Manitoba is a major research university located in the city of Winnipeg and province of Manitoba. The Department of Pediatrics and Neonatology Program collaborate closely with the Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba to improve the lives and care for children in the province.

Applicants must possess specialty qualifications in Neonatology in the country of current practice, and must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.  Certification in Neonatology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is preferred.
