Mindfulness and compassion go hand in hand

Mindfulness is paying attention on purpose - without judgement or intention. "Mindfulness is to be aware of one's body, mind and spirit in a way that's patient and non-judging," explains Wall. "It's knowing how to centre oneself so we can be calmer and be more present, not only with ourselves but to be more present and engaged with people around us."
