File a complaint

All care providers in the Winnipeg Health Region want to provide safe, quality health services. Telling us about your complaint helps us to improve care. The privacy of the patient, resident or client will be protected at all times under the Personal Health Information Act.

Start where the care was provided

If you have questions or concerns about the care you or a family member received, it is best to begin by talking with a person at the place where care was received.

If you have already spoken to someone at the place where care was received, and you still need to talk to someone please contact

If English is not your preferred language, please let us know so that we can have interpreters available.

The Client Relations Coordinator will contact you or direct your concern. Whenever possible, someone will contact you within the same business day. Click here to view the Winnipeg Health Region Client Relations Process Map.

What you tell us is taken seriously. Some concerns can be handled right away while others may take more time. You may get phone calls or letters with updates while your complaint is being looked into. We will talk to those involved on a need-to-know basis. The lessons learned may be shared in order to improve care for others.
