Providing support to new mothers and their families through phone contact and home visits. Additional breastfeeding counseling is also available through a 24-hour Breastfeeding Hotline at (204) 477-3433.
BabyFirst
This service offers support for new parents with children from birth to three years of age experiencing challenges related to parenting. The service is designed to enhance skills and foster healthy child development.
Families First (Healthy Baby Program)
Led by nutritionists, public health nurses and outreach workers, various groups meet weekly to discuss pre and post natal health and nutrition, parenting education, and child development.
Child Health Services
Services include child health clinics and newborn follow-up offering support to parents in group settings. Clinics are held in community settings such as apartments, libraries, churches and schools.
