What to expect when you come for a psychosocial appointment

For some clients, coming for an appointment at the Breast Health Centre can create some anxiety, stress, and/or worry around what to expect from the visit or what the results may be.  If you are experiencing any of these or other feelings, Breast Health Centre has a social worker on site who is available to talk to about your feelings and/or concerns; as well as link you up with any resources or supports you may need in the community.

Whether you need support after your diagnostic imaging appointment or at your surgical consultation appointments, the social worker provides confidential counseling to you and your family. Counseling can be in person or over the phone.
