Health Equity Indicator Resource

A good description of where need exists (inequities) will help us to make informed choices about how to meet these needs. This document is a start towards a good description using existing indicators that point to health inequities.

Produced by the Research and Evaluation Unit of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, this document encompasses 54 detailed health equity indicators. Each indicator  provides a descriptive reference for the differences in health or circumstances found among Winnipeg Health Region residents.

To view the entire indicator document, click here.

Or, to refine your search, the 54 indicators are grouped into 5 main themes. Click on one of the themes to reference an indicator category:

1. Death and length of life
2. Illness, injury and wellness
3. Health risks and behaviours
4. Early beginnings and education
5. Employment and Income
